    Aaron A. Mixon is a focused, self-directed attorney with a passionate commitment to providing excellent and unparalleled legal representation to his clientele base. He completed his Jurist Doctor at Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, DE in 2002, and he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science at Lincoln University, Oxford, PA. in 1999.

    He has served as a Judicial Law Clerk to The Honorable Brenda Frazier-Clemons in the Philadelphia Family Court of Common Pleas. He is the founder and principal attorney at Mixon Law Group, which is a full service law firm with a concentration in personal injury, civil litigation, family law, estate planning and criminal defense. He is a Member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and has been licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania since 2004.

    Eight years prior to founding MLG, Aaron started and managed his own private practice, gaining trial and litigation experience in various areas of law for thousands of clients, including pro bono work and representation for the indigent. His commitment to his clients and to the law continues to be exemplified through his vigorous representation both in and out of the courtroom.

    Yalonda Houston, JD, MBA, is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Philly Voice (also known as Philly Voice for Change), a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization dedicated to serving system-impacted individuals and families. Under her leadership, the organization advances holistic, community-centered strategies designed to promote family stabilization, economic mobility, and long-term self-sufficiency.

    Ms. Houston brings more than 15 years of legal experience to her work. A graduate of Widener University School of Law, she is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is the owner of The Law Office of Yalonda Houston, where she concentrates in Family and Estate Law. Her legal practice centers on protecting family integrity, securing generational assets, and ensuring equitable access to justice for vulnerable populations.

    In addition to her legal credentials, Ms. Houston holds a Master of Business Administration and has worked as a business consultant since 2008. She has supported the formation and sustainability of both nonprofit and for-profit enterprises, and provided strategic guidance to emerging community-based organizations. Her combined legal and business expertise strengthens Philly Voice's operational infrastructure and programmatic impact.

    A strong advocate for interdisciplinary collaboration, Ms. Houston champions integrated service models within the child welfare and family support systems. She works closely with families, service providers, and community partners to ensure access to coordinated legal, social, and economic resources that address both immediate crises and long-term stability.

    Ms. Houston also serves on the boards of AlongTheWay.org, Educated Sistas' Association, and Doctor Dash & Friends, organizations committed to supporting seniors, veterans, and underserved communities. Through her leadership, advocacy, and systems-level engagement, she advances initiatives that strengthen families, reduce trauma, and promote sustainable community transformation in Philadelphia.
